It is May 3. May means trying to get in the pool a minimum of 3, maybe 4 times a week. May should be the last month of only swimming in the pool- June will be lake swims (and maybe an ocean swim!). May is about practice practice practice. Building endurance. Builiding confidence. Paying more attention to nutrition and hydration.

This is not just a physical endurance event, it is about being mentally prepared. Watching videos and looking at photos of past events helps. And it cause a "holy @&^! We are going to do this moment."

This is about awareness for Brigadoon and raising funds. Don't forget to donate if you can. You can donate online, or hold your own fundraiser and share a contribution that way. We're happy to help!

The event also needs volunteers and kayakers. http://www.givetolive.ca/big-swim/ We would love to see some familiar faces when we hit land on August 16.
